Marketers are modern day alchemists. Often using meager budgets and resources, we are expected to turn lead (leads) into gold. We retreat to our offices, bathed in the warm glow of our laptop, mixing a steaming concoction of databases and designs, with the exact right amounts of messages and media hoping to result in the fabled positive ROI. Much like alchemy, some of our marketing decisions are purely speculative and to my knowledge, nobody has discovered the fabled “marketer’s stone”.
Some designers feel that packaging an InDesign file and sending it to their printer is faster and safer than creating and sending a PDF. This isn't necessarily true. Especially when using the Cedar Graphics PDF presets.
